About Dr. Berry
Dr. David Berry is a Christian, husband, father, physician, and fifth-generation Texan. On October 23, 2023, he was called by God Himself to represent the people of Texas’ 31st District and to breathe life back into our nation.
Dr. David L. Berry is a board-certified obstetrician and maternal-fetal medicine specialist with more than 30 years of experience serving Texas families. He currently practices at Odessa Regional Medical Center and has previously held leadership roles at Fetal Care Consultants in Dallas, Texas Children’s Hospital in Austin, and as Founder and President of Austin Perinatal Associates. A former Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Seton Medical Center, Dr. Berry has been board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since the late 1990s.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Berry is a lifelong advocate for faith, family, and freedom. He has served as President of the School Board at Spicewood Christian Academy, is an ordained Minister of the Gospel, and has participated on prayer teams at multiple churches in the Hill Country. A proud lifelong Texan, Dr. Berry is also an NRA Lifetime Member, Certified Handgun Instructor, and Federal Firearms Licensed Dealer who believes deeply in the values of personal responsibility, service, and community leadership.
A native Texan through and through, Dr. Berry graduated with honors from Westlake High School before earning his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, followed by an internship, residency, and fellowship training in Obstetrics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine in Texas.
